Capture With Pleasure Or Terrify With Pain

Capture With Pleasure Or Terrify With Pain is a digital catalogue showcasing personal analog collages made from photos found in fashion magazines. This series explores the topic of pleasure and pain, and how thin the line between these two extremes is, especially when human body (as a powerful indicator of emotions, thoughts, reactions) is transformed, hidden or replaced with material objects. Where do pleasure and pain meet, when do they invert and can we distinguish positive emotions from negative ones in an abstract bodily expression? The catalogue is structured in two halves, with pleasant emotions on the left side and painful emotions on the right side. Every image title has been assigned following a personal intuition and interpretation after finishing each piece, which consists of two unrelated images and one subject matter. Everything becomes seamlessly interconnected, just like human body and emotions.
